Just open the app and it will show exactly how many hours of audio you can record on your Fire HD, depending on how much storage is available. Click the red recording button, and you’re all set. You can then hit the Listen tab on the app to listen to what you’ve recorded. The files are created in .wav format, which is absolutely perfect for sound editing, if you want to play around with the files you created afterwards.
