How to update to Kodi Krypton: Android
Updating Kodi to it’s latest version on an Android-enabled device is an absolute doddle.
For one, make sure your device can connect to the internet and has access to the Google Play Store. If you have automatic updates enabled, Kodi will update itself to Krypton
If automatic updates aren’t turned on, head to the Google Play Store and navigate to Kodi or the “My Apps” panel. Click “Update” and Kodi will begin to update on the Android device of your choice.
Remember, to get Kodi on Chromecast, updating your Android version of Kodi will also update the Chromecast build.
How to update Kodi Krypton: Windows 10 and Mac OS X
Putting the latest version of Kodi on your Windows 10 or Mac computer is incredibly easy.

How to update Kodi Krypton: Linux
Of all the formats you can install Kodi on, Linux makes it the easiest to update.
When a new version of Kodi is released just perform a general system/package or open terminal and type:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
If that doesn’t work, which can be the case when additional packages are required, open terminal and use the below command:
Sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
