The CDK, or Cursed Dual Katana, is one of the best weapons in Blox Fruits. With a massive range, high damage, and excellent mobility improvements, it excels in all of the key areas. The only big downside to the CDK is that it’s quite hard to obtain, requiring the player to complete a series of objectives and puzzles.
This guide will show you exactly how to get your hands on the CDK.
How to Obtain the Cursed Dual Katana
Unlike many of the other top-tier weapons in Blox Fruits, you won’t be able to simply buy the CDK from an NPC or get it by beating a boss. In fact, it has a relatively long list of requirements that need to be met before it can be unlocked. Before you can even begin, you will need to obtain the Yama and Tushita swords. Then you can follow these steps to obtain the CDK:
- Obtain 350 Mastery with Yama and Tushita.
- Complete the three puzzle objectives of the Yama Scroll.
- Complete the three puzzle objectives of the Tushita Scroll.
Below, you’ll find more detailed instructions on how to complete each of these requirements.
Getting to 350 Mastery with Yama and Tushita
Before you can access the two puzzle scrolls needed to acquire the CDK, you’ll need to level up your Yama and Tushita swords. They both need to be at 350 Mastery in order to proceed. To acquire more Mastery, you simply need to use the swords to defeat enemies.
One of the fastest ways to get more Mastery for your weapons is to grind bosses. Bosses like Longma, Captain Elephant, and Stone are all regarded as good options for Mastery farming. You can also simply kill mobs of enemies over and over to get more Mastery, albeit a bit slower than with bosses.
You can follow these steps to obtain the Tushita sword.
Accessing the Puzzle Scrolls
With Yama and Tushita mastered, you can move on to unlock the puzzles needed to get the CDK. It’s also important to note that you need to be at least level 2,200 to access the puzzle scrolls. Here’s all you need to do to find the scrolls:
- Head over to the Floating Turtle in the Third Sea.
- Find the Mansion, then go up the hill behind it to find a large stone building.
- Speak with the Crypt Master NPC who is standing next to the building. Tell him that you wish to enter, and he’ll unlock the door for you.
- Go all around the building to the other side, where you can find the door to the puzzle scrolls.
- Step inside. You’ll know you’re in the right place if you see skeletons along the walls.
- You’ll then enter a chamber with the Yama and Tushita Scrolls on the left and right sides.
Completing the Yama Scroll
The Yama Scroll gives you three distinct challenges to accomplish, entitled Pain and Suffering, The Haze of Misery, and Fear the Reaper.
Pain and Suffering
This trial is one of the easiest. You just have to get hit and take a lot of damage while using the Yama sword.
- Make sure you have Yama equipped.
- Find a strong enemy or ask another player to hit you.
- Take between 8k and 10k damage.
This might not work the first time, so repeat the process until the challenge is completed.
The Haze of Misery
This is one of the hardest and easily the most time-consuming of the six challenges. It turns the whole world hazy, and you’ll have to hunt down and kill a series of enemies.
- Explore the islands until you find a group of enemies with purple dots on them.
- Kill all the enemies with the purple dots.
- Explore again to find another group. They can be on almost any island. It helps to use Portal to
teleport to different locations as quickly as possible. - Repeat the process and kill each group of tagged enemies until the quest ends.
Fear the Reaper
For this challenge, you need to let yourself be killed by the Soul Reaper. You’ll need a Hallow Essence to summon the Soul Reaper. If you don’t have any, you’ll first need to get some in Random Surprises from the Death King or by praying to the Gravestone NPC in the Haunted Castle.
- Go to the altar beside the Graveyard where the Death King is located, on the Haunted Castle Island.
- As long as you have the Hallowed Essence in your inventory, the Soul Reaper will spawn.
- Simply stand there and let the boss kill you and send you to Hell.
- You’ll then need to walk around the area and light up three torches, killing mobs that spawn at each one.
- When you’ve finished, walk through the door to teleport back to the scroll room.
Completing the Tushita Scroll
Just like the Yama Scroll, the Tushita Scroll has three named challenges to complete:
Dock Legend
Dock Legend is one of the easier challenges, as you simply have to go and talk to three boat dealers to complete it.
- Find a boat dealer to begin. You can find them on almost any island in the game.
- Speak with them and scroll through the dialog pages by clicking Next.
- When you see the Pardon Me dialog option, click on it. This will give you a new line of dialog for
the dealer. - Repeat the process with two other boat dealers on two other islands.
Sense of Duty
For this trial, you’ll need to kill a pirate in a Pirate Raid at the Castle on the Sea.
- Wait for a Pirate Raid event to begin. This event occurs every 75 minutes and only happens in the Third Sea. You’ll know it started once a message appears in the chat saying Pirates have been spotted approaching the castle!
- When the event begins, head to the Castle on the Sea.
- Kill at least one pirate before the raid ends.
Soulless
This one can be a little trickier, as it involves killing the strong Cake Queen boss in under two minutes.
- Go to Ice Cream Land to find the Cake Queen boss.
- Hit the boss to begin the battle.
- A song will start to play, lasting for two minutes. You’ll need to beat the boss before that song ends.
- If you succeed, you’ll be teleported to Heaven.
- There, you will need to light three torches and beat some mobs of enemies that spawn at each torch. It’s just like the Fear the Reaper objective of the Yama Scroll.
- You’ll automatically teleport back to the scroll room when you complete the objective.
If you’re struggling with the Cake Boss, you could bring a friend to help lower the boss’ HP for you. Then, all you have to do is get the final blow to teleport to Heaven.
Improve Your Arsenal with the CDK
It certainly takes some time and a little luck to get your hands on the CDK, but with so much power, this weapon is definitely worth the hard work it takes to unlock. Once you’re at the right level and Mastery, set off to the Floating Turtle and start work on the puzzle scrolls.
FAQs
Yes, it’s regarded as one of the most elite weapons in the entire game. It’s got really strong attacks, a wide reach, and can hit multiple enemies at once. It may take a while to get, but it can become your go-to weapon for endgame bosses and challenges.
No, you can start with either the Yama or the Tushita scroll. It’s completely up to you and won’t have any impact on obtaining the CDK.
If you complete a scroll objective and then quit the game, your progress will be saved, and you won’t have to do it again. However, if you only do part of an objective and then leave the server or game, it will reset the next time you log back in.
