How to Clear Recently Watched in Disney Plus

Disney Plus is one of the most popular streaming services available. Its low cost and extraordinary collection of movies, shows, and documentaries offer something for everyone. Like most streaming services, you can see a record of shows and movies you’ve already watched.

Disney Plus doesn’t have a Recently Watched section. This means that there is no record of anything you’ve completed watching. However, Disney Plus does have the Continue Watching section with no option to delete content.

If you’re concerned about someone seeing something you’ve watched, it will be in the Continue Watching or Watchlist section. This article will teach you how to take control of all the titles you’ve watched previously.

Can You Clear the Recently Watched List on Disney Plus?

Unlike Hulu or Netflix, Disney+ has yet to add a viewing history section or even an option to delete your watch history. This is especially unfortunate because, like the other platforms, Disney+ makes recommendations based on your past selections.

So, what can you do to customize your Disney+ selections without the option to remove a viewing history? In the sections below, we’ll list all of the options to delete the recently watched list.

Set Up a Secondary Profile

Perhaps you want to watch a show you don’t want anyone else to know about, or you don’t want Disney Plus to make recommendations based on your watch history. Since we can’t delete our recently watched titles, we’ll need to create and delete a profile.

However, you can’t delete the main profile on your Disney Plus account. So, you’ll need to create a temporary one that you can delete later. When you delete a profile on your account, all of the corresponding watch history goes with it.

The best option for removing recently watched titles is to follow these steps:

1. Open Disney Plus and sign into your account. Then, tap the + Add Profile option.
   
2. Choose a profile picture and add a name for your profile. Now, click Done in the upper right-hand corner.
   
3. Now Watch the content you’d like. When you want to clear the profile’s history, click on the Edit Profiles option from the home page.
   
4. Select the pen icon on the profile you used to watch titles.
   
5. Scroll down and click on Delete Profile.
   

Now, you won’t have to worry about irrelevant suggested titles or the inability to delete your recently watched history.

Remove Watchlist Content

Even though the “Recently Watched” list was added, the company has yet to add an option to delete the content. But, you can delete items from your Watchlist. To make the distinction, you must add items to your Watchlist that you may want to watch later. It just makes it easier to search for the content you want to watch (especially if you have kids who watch the same movie over and over again).

To remove content from your Watchlist, do this:

1. Launch Disney Plus on your device and go to the Watchlist at the top of the interface.
   
2. Find the item you want to remove and press the “Checkmark” button in the corner of its thumbnail. This will remove it from your list.
   
   

This will work most of the time, but it might sometimes glitch, preventing you from removing a certain item. You may have to try a couple of times, but it will work eventually.
